This weekend mentors and exchange students of the University of Miskolc went on a trip to visit the wine region of Tokaj, the beautiful source of history and several delicious wines in Hungary. Our first stop was in Sátoraljaújhely where we sat into a chair lift bringing us up to the top hill of Sátoraljaújhely and we could see the beautiful view. Almost all of us tried the bob slide afterward which became a forever lasting memory for everybody. The bravest people glided also with a cable between the two hills over a breath taking depth. Next we headed to Sárospatak and we visited the castle of the city where we learnt a few things about the history of the castle and about the Rákóczi family. Now check out what Denys Skydan, our Erasmus student can tell about his memories enriched himself.

“The trip to Tokaj was really amazing! I am very grateful to the ESN Miskolc and to our lovely mentors for organizing this trip. What can be better than spending the entire day with our friends in the mountains and having a dinner with incredible wines? So it was very cool and funny! I wasn’t bored for a single minute during the trip, even in the bus we had a little party. Especially I liked the fantastic view from the top of the mountain of Sátoraljaújhely so much. Of course the excursion to the castle was very nice, because I love history and it is always interesting to know something new about the ancient life and about the culture. But the best part of the trip was the wine tasting. One of the main purposes of the trip was the tasting of the real authentic and worldwide known wines of Tokaj. They were really tasty and amazing so I had no other choice than buying a little of them. I’d love to visit that region once again with this trip. Every trip organized by these guys are very funny and interesting. These are the best moments of my Erasmus experience!”

The ESN Miskolc Team liked this tour as much as our students did and we hope that next time you will be the one, who will share his memories about trip and who will party in the company of the most awesome Erasmus people.
